What to Expect?

Spring is the season of renewal, when flowers emerge, energy rises, and the world begins to bloom again. After a winter of rest, this is your moment to replenish your own reserves so you can blossom too.

This full retreat day gives you space to experience the transformative effects of yoga, melt away tension with myofascial release, and step into the new season feeling grounded, uplifted, and ready to grow.

Yoga

Begin the day with a flowing practice to awaken body, mind and soul. Shake off the heaviness of winter and ease into the brightness of spring. These practices will encourage your energy to flow, helping you feel inspired, open, and ready to move towards new projects and dreams.

Breathing & Meditation

Throughout the day you’ll find moments of stillness, gentle pauses to soothe your nervous system through pranayama and mindful awareness. These quieter practices help keep your energy balanced, offering tools you can carry into everyday life as spring unfolds.

Deep Rest

Restorative yoga and yoga nidra invite your whole body to soften. Allow yourself to be held by stillness, letting go of tension layer by layer. Emerge feeling refreshed and renewed, as if you’ve had the most nourishing sleep.

Myofascial Release

Join Jo for a specialist Roll & Release session using balls to work into trigger points and ease deep muscular tension. It’s a powerful practice to reset the body, relieve aches and pains, and give you a fresh sense of freedom in your movement.

Community

Immerse yourself in this time with a group of amazing people. Connect with others who are also stepping into spring with intention. Share experiences, insights, and conversation as we move through the day together.

Connection

Reawaken your connection to yourself, your practice, and the natural rhythms of the seasons. Notice what begins to stir within you as spring arrives, and feel the sense of possibility that comes with it.

The Venue

The Old Schoolhouse, Upper Largo, Fife.

The Old Schoolhouse offers a peaceful sanctuary, an escape from the busyness of daily life and the perfect place to settle into a nourishing day of practice, rest, and renewal.

Your Teachers

Sarah (Retreat Leader)

Sarah is a yoga teacher, CPD provider, and specialist trainer based in St Andrews. She loves supporting people to discover the transformative power of yoga through retreat days, workshops, trainings, festivals, and regular classes.

Her teaching blends yoga philosophy with down-to-earth relevance, offering tools to feel inspired, empowered, and connected.

She teaches Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Hatha, and Restorative Yoga, drawing on her personal Ashtanga practice to help each student find alignment in their own body and a deeper connection to the full experience of yoga.

Sarah started practicing yoga around the year 2000 and qualified as a 200hr teacher in 2017, after previously training in family and children’s yoga. She has since completed specialist trainings in Vinyasa Flow, Yin, and Restorative Yoga, and is an experienced teacher with Yoga Alliance.

Jo (Myofascial Release Workshop)

Jo brings over 35 years of yoga experience, beginning with Iyengar practice as a child and leading to a yoga teaching qualification in 2023.  She delivers in-depth myofascial release workshops that explore how to condition the fascia (the connective tissue of the body) through breathwork, gentle movement, and rolling with massage balls. Her sessions are grounding, insightful, and transformational.
