Yoga Styles
Learn more about the yoga styles I teach.
Ashtanga Yoga
Ashtanga yoga builds strength, stamina and flexibility whilst encouraging an inwards focus to soothe the mind. In this system we work with a set sequence of postures, moving with the breath. Variations are offered so you can adapt the practice to suit your body.
You’ll see classes described as led classes or Mysore style. In a led class the teacher guides everyone at the same pace, these classes can feel strong and energetic. In a Mysore style class you receive one to one teaching in a group setting, the teacher will guide you through the Ashtanga sequence step by step at your own pace.
Everyday Yoga
My Everyday Yoga classes are ideal for beginners and everyone who would like to work in a slower pace.
These Hatha yoga classes include flowing movement, foundational yoga postures, and guidance on breathing. Alignment cues are given throughout, and there is an emphasis on listening to your body and choosing the variations that work best for you. These classes vary week by week, and include asana (yoga postures), pranayama (breathing practices), and guided relaxations designed to nourish body and mind.
Live Online Yoga
My weekly online live class varies. Some weeks the sequence may be more Ashtanga influenced, and other times we might slow things right down.
Suitable for all levels, expect flowing sequences, static postures, time to pause and check in, and guided relaxations.
Join me from the comfort of your own home. and find some time for you each week in these classes designed to support your wellbeing on all levels.
