Revive

Your body, mind, and spirit with twice daily yoga classes with Sarah Brannen, pranayama, deep relaxation, and guided walks.

Reconnect

Take the time to connect to nature, your yoga practice, yourself.  This weekend gives you the time and space you need away from the demands of life.

Restore

With time to unwind, spaces to relax, and every need catered for you will feel nurtured throughout and leave feeling replenished.

Relax

With a very small group setting and all your needs taken care of you can truly switch off and relax.

Accomodation

The Old Schoolhouse in the hamlet of Newburn, East Neuk of Fife, enjoys an unparalleled tranquil setting with views to the Firth of Forth, surrounded by fields and woodland.  The house offers a peaceful sanctuary, an escape from the busyness of daily life and the perfect place to settle into a nourishing weekend of practice, rest, and renewal.

The bedrooms are cosy and comfortable, and many have beautiful views over the surrounding area.  There are double, twin, and single bedrooms available with locally sourced toiletries provided in all the bathrooms.

With plenty of space, you can curl up with a book, chat with friends, wander outside, explore the local countryside.  Do as much or as little as you like, this is your time.

If you would like to book this retreat please fill in your details and I’ll get back to you to confirm all the details.  My retreats sell out quickly and spaces are very limited so early booking is recommended.

I look forward to welcoming you to this weekend.

Your Retreat Experience

Yoga

Twice daily yoga practices with Sarah.  Morning practices are dynamic Ashtanga yoga, and evenings a more gentle flow and restore with Yin and Restorative elements.  This is your chance to take a deep dive into yoga, exploring the more subtle aspects, and finding a personal connection to your practice

Explore & Create

You will have the opportunity to join a guided local walk to explore the stunning local landscape, and get creative as we paint our own mandalas on pebbles.  There will be time to relax and unwind in the house and gardens.  You are welcome to do as much or as little as you like.

Heart & Soul

At the heart of The Old Schoolhouse is the kitchen, a large, welcoming space with a central table.  We come together here to enjoy home cooked meals inspired by fresh, local, and seasonal produce.  Food is both delicious, and nutritious, from warming soups to indulgent bakes, and a favourite part of our retreats here.

Your Teacher

Sarah Brannen (Retreat Leader)

Her teaching blends yoga philosophy with down-to-earth relevance, offering tools to feel inspired, empowered, and connected.

She teaches Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Hatha, and Restorative Yoga, drawing on her personal Ashtanga practice to help each student find alignment in their own body and a deeper connection to the full experience of yoga.

Sarah started practicing yoga around the year 2000 and qualified as a 200hr teacher in 2017, after previously training in family and children’s yoga. She has since completed specialist trainings in Vinyasa Flow, Yin, and Restorative Yoga, and is an experienced teacher with Yoga Alliance.
