Hello, I’m Sarah Brannen.

I found Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga in my twenties and was immediately drawn to the movement and rhythm of the practice. Over the years I explored different classes and styles, but Ashtanga always called me back.

Since having my second daughter in 2013 I’ve studied with wonderful teachers who have helped me build a steady personal practice. I am currently working through third series under the guidance of my teachers at Ashtanga Yoga Edinburgh, and I love how these postures continue to challenge me while inviting humility and a sense of light heartedness into practice.

Teaching yoga is a real joy for me. I’m passionate about sharing yoga with people of all ages, and from all different backgrounds. I love supporting students as they discover a practice that grows with them and helping to build a steady, supportive community here in St Andrews.

I passionately believe that yoga can provide so much more than strength, flexibility and fitness. It helps me to find a sense of calm amidst the chaos, to remain steady through the constant change, to love and accept myself, and to find a path to follow that feels right.
