Hello, I’m Sarah Brannen.

I found Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga in my twenties and was immediately drawn to the movement and rhythm of the practice. Over the years I explored different classes and styles, but Ashtanga always called me back.

Moving from led classes to the Mysore approach changed my practice completely. Since having my second daughter in 2013 I’ve studied with wonderful teachers who have helped me build a steady personal practice. I am currently working through third series under the guidance of my teachers at Ashtanga Yoga Edinburgh, and I love how these postures continue to challenge me while inviting humility and a sense of light heartedness into practice.

Teaching Ashtanga is a real joy for me. I love supporting students as they discover a practice that grows with them and helping to build a steady, supportive community here in St Andrews.
