As the days shorten and nature begins to quieten, autumn invites us to turn inward, soften, and rest. This retreat offers a full day to gently restore your energy, release tension, and nourish yourself from within so you can enter the winter season feeling steady and replenished.

Throughout the day you’ll experience soothing yoga practices, grounding breathwork, myofascial release, and deep, restorative rest.  All designed with care to help you settle, reset, and return to yourself.

What to Expect?

Yoga

Begin the day with a soft, warming yoga flow designed to ease your body into movement and invite a sense of calm. These gentle practices support tired muscles, steady the mind, and honour the slower rhythm of the season.

Turn Inwards

The second half of the year is a natural time for introspection. You’ll be guided through pranayama, meditation, or sound practices that help you quieten the mind, soothe the nervous system, and reconnect with your inner self.

Deep Rest

The afternoon offers long, restful poses and a deeply nourishing yoga nidra. Allow yourself to sink into stillness, release layers of tension, and experience the kind of rest that feels like a reset for the whole body.

Myofascial Release

A gentle workshop working with massage balls to release deep-held tension. This is a beautiful complement to the quieter practices of the day, helping your body soften and unwind.

Community

Retreat days create a special sense of togetherness. Share space with others who also feel called to slow down, restore, and reconnect as the season shifts.

Nourish

A whole day created to nourish your body, steady your mind, and soften your spirit. Each practice, pause, and detail has been chosen to support your wellbeing and help you move into the darker months feeling cared for and replenished.

The Venue

The Old Schoolhouse, Upper Largo, Fife.

Your Teachers

Sarah (Retreat Leader)

Sarah is a yoga teacher, CPD provider, and specialist trainer based in St Andrews. She loves supporting people to discover the transformative power of yoga through retreat days, workshops, trainings, festivals, and regular classes.

Her teaching blends yoga philosophy with down-to-earth relevance, offering tools to feel inspired, empowered, and connected.

She teaches Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Hatha, and Restorative Yoga, drawing on her personal Ashtanga practice to help each student find alignment in their own body and a deeper connection to the full experience of yoga.

Sarah started practicing yoga around the year 2000 and qualified as a 200hr teacher in 2017, after previously training in family and children’s yoga. She has since completed specialist trainings in Vinyasa Flow, Yin, and Restorative Yoga, and is an experienced teacher with Yoga Alliance.

Jo (Myofascial Release Workshop)

Jo brings over 35 years of yoga experience, beginning with Iyengar practice as a child and leading to a yoga teaching qualification in 2023.  She delivers in-depth myofascial release workshops that explore how to condition the fascia (the connective tissue of the body) through breathwork, gentle movement, and rolling with massage balls. Her sessions are grounding, insightful, and transformational.
